check switch for proper operation //check motor control for power ,connections and wires are not damaged or disconnected===check seat track for debris or something stuck
If the controls still work to move the seat up and down and the seat back forward and back then you've ruled out a fuse. The switch could be faulty, could be a broken wire to the motor or the motor itself could be bad.
sounds like you might have a switch problem if the memory for seat position works ok. If you have a multimeter that checks for continuity then you could start there at the switch but you would also need a wiring diagram for the seats
Hello, you didn't mention if the seats are power or not. If power, do you hear any clicking when you push switches? If not blown fuse for drivers seat. If not power seats than cable for locking mechanism broke or came off and won't unlock seat from current position. Your sending unit inside your tank is faulty, most likely. It is due to faulty or bad connections on sending unit which in probably attached to fuel pump inside tank. My gauge moves alot when I drive and I replaced my pump/sending unit 5 times already. It's just the way they are making them. The only time I get an accurate reading is at a stop or smooth road.
Reach down in the bite-line (where the seat cushion and the seat back meet). Pull up on the seat cushion until the cushion raises above the bottom of the seat back. Pull the seat cushion towards the front. There are two metal tabs that are hooked into the front of the seat cushion that holds it in place; unhook these by moving the cushion forward. To replace, reverse the procedure, but make sure the seatbelt recepticles are exposed before pushing the seat cushion down into the bite-line.
Check for obstructions (sorry-have to start here) 1) get to a very quiet place 2) trigger the switch to move the seat 2.a) if you hear an electronic single click, the motor is probably burned out 2.b) if you do not hear the click check the fuses 2.b.1) if not fuse, take to dealer for inspection diagnosis...this should be done free of charge
You can move the drivers seat back by turning on the power, getting in the seat and position your feet firmly on the fron flor with your back firmly against he seatback, and then engage the switch pushing back - while pushing like hell with your feet. You can actually hear the seat drive shaft turning while the seat moves back. The principle should be the same for moving forward, but pressure would have to be aplide to the back of the seat.
I believe it is electrical because windows go down, seats don't engage.
The driver seat don't move.he look under the seat no wire loose.
