Sounds like you have water in some of your distributuin boxes. Remove the covers and blow them out with compressed air.

Have you noticed if it is overheating? It may be in the ignition system as well. It may be bad plugs, wires, dist.cap. HJave you checked anything yet? Can you get any codes?

Check the starter

The starter has one large cable from the battery positive, and a wire that goes to the solenoid (Part of the starter) that becomes hot when the key ignition is turned to start. This also passes through the neutral safety switch. (So it wont start in gear) Not sure if this is what you need, a little vague.

i have a 98 chevy s10 zr2 and we changed the fuel pump and aint gettin no power to the fuel pump checked the fuses and relay under the hood no power and the gauges inside are not working other than lightin up.are there another fuse link some where

check your fuel pressure
and check to see if the pressure dropps off when you turn the key off

try to replace the starter or at least the cylanoid because the points in the cylanoid tend to rust over time and not work this should fix ur problem
