Possible damage to one of the ABS sensors when the axles were removed to replace the transmission. Or one of the sensors is disconnected or not tightened down.

SOURCE: cruise control doesn't engage 1999 volvo s80 t6

not a volvo mechanic but on most american cars the abs and stc modules are in direct corilation with the cruise even though the cruise is most likely ran from vacume the disengagement is electrical.

SOURCE: cruise control won't engage

most likely the clock spring is not the problem because when u push the button the dash light cruise comes on.wich means that you do not have an open circuit.with a light tester check to see if you are getting power to the cruise control servo.if you are then replace it.if no power you will need a new cruise control stick on the steering column.

SOURCE: ABS and anti skid tracking control lights stay on in my BMW 523i

Unfortunately there are several possibilities that are common to causing the light to come on. I would suggest taking the car in to a dealer and having them read out the fault memory. Such possibilities are a failed speed sensor, a binding DSC/ACS actuator cable, or faulty DCS/ASC control unit. If you know how, you can disconnect the speed sensors, and check for voltage output across the the terminals inside the connector going to the speed sensor while rotating the wheel. A dealer should charge you about an 1hour fee to check out your system. Due to the cost of parts involved, I would recommend having it checked before just guessing.

SOURCE: transmission doesnt shift abs & brake light on speedometer doesnt work

I had the same problem with ABS light and speedometer, I was told that it is the transmission control module. It has not yet stopped shifting but I have had times where it just wont stay running. It will start and then stall. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Horn doesn't work, abs light on dash stays on and also cruise control does not work either

Typical reason for no cruise and horn is a bad clock spring underneath the airbag. Typically you have an airbag light on as well and not an abs light

Why does my ABS light stays on and sometimes i get a vibration in the brake petal causing my 2002 Cadillac escalade not wanting to stop?

The light being on means the system has detected a problem in one or more sensors. The vibration is the ABS modulating the brakes to prevent skidding because it has detected a wheel that is locked up. That wheel is most likely the one sensor that is giving you the error.

Parking Brake, ABS, Traction Control & Anti Skid lights on

One or more of the sensors in the wheels that are responsible for these functions is faulty. It is sending a signal that is mucking up the calculations that control the brakes and engine for traction control and anti skid. All of them need to be checked!

I have 4 sensor lights on ABS, brake, VCS and skid light. I have new brakes and they are fine. Also, my cruise will not set

The abs , traction control , transmission and cruise are all connected. You will need to have codes pulled to even know where to start.

ABS Light is on but brakes seem fine.

On many systems, the abs light comes on if both brake lamps are blown. Have you checked that?

A light has come up on the dashboard telling me the ABS Anti-Skid needs serviced, also the cruise control has disappeared. I've had problems with fuses blowing lately as well

You have problem somewhere which needs to be fixed. Could be mice eating your wiring or some other short-circuiting fault.

Better to take it to the service and let a couple of professionals to look at it.
