Try and remove the radio fuse for 30 seconds to cycle power to the unit and then try to remove them. Some of these units have a software issue and a reset can clear it.
you might have to dismantle the key ignition assembly on your steering column. Have you tried getting some channel locks or some pliers to swiftly yank out the key? Is the key bent inside the ignition? If so, you have a problem on your hands and you'll have to remove the assembly and most replace it.
