Is there an adjustable clutch on my hunda elantra 2003

It would be unusual to find an adjustable clutch on a late model car. clutch problems are the result of air in the clutch system or bad clutch cable
A proper description of the clutch problem will help in being more specific with the help.

Stiff clutch on 2002 elantra , clutch and transmission new , slave clinder pushes wrong way ,whats wrong ?

FYI, the slave cylinder is pushing correctly, the clutch is the 'PULL TYPE', not the 'PUSH' type.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register the vehicle by VIN #. You'll then have access to Shop Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Illustrations, Service Bulletins, etc.

The clutch on the 2002 Elantra, as I mentioned, is the "Pull Type". Instead of 'Pushing' on the throw-out bearing, it "Pulls" on it. The pressure plate engages when the bearing is released (when it is 'pulled' back into the pressure plate 'fingers'

Was the new trans & clutch installed at an authorized Hyundai Service Department? If not, you might want to have them inspect the installation to determine what's wrong. If it WAS installed by a Hyundai Service Dept, take it back to them & tell them to FIX IT!

Having release prblems with clutch on 2005 Elantra. new oe clutch, cut the flywheel and changed the slave cylinder. The pedal is too high not enough throw

Hello; The clutch is activated by a cable leading from the clutch pedle to the clutch housing between the engine and the trany. It is that cable that needs adjusting. If the pedle is too high to activate the clutch the cable needs to be adjusted to be shorter. That adjustment is at the clutch housing end not inside the car.

Hope that helps.

Clutch Sometimes Slipping in 4th and 5th gears!

Hi Jackiaria

Unfortunately you have a hydraulic clutch, which is self adjusting on your car.

The problem you are experiencing is the excessive wear to your clutch, or oil contamination on the clutch plate.

Both these problems can only be fully diagnosed once the gearbox is removed and the clutch is inspected.
There is also a possibility of excessive wear, or scoring, on the flywheel surface, the longer you drive the vehicle with a slipping clutch, possibly requiring the flywheel to be skimmed.

Shop around for a best price, and a trustworthy garage !

Good Luck !

A FixYa rating would be Nice....Thanks.....John.

Cant get transmission apart from the engine to change the clutch on a 2002 hyundai elantra

you have to release the clutch lever. take the bolt off of the clutch lever and take the lever off. this will release the clutch. I got mine loose but the only problem is how to reset it after you put the clutch back in.
