2005 jeep liberty brake lights will not work. I

When you say you checked the fuse, are you getting power in and out of it and the brake light switch ?

Burnt out socket then you have a bad ground,

THAT RIGHT IF BRAKE SWITCH BAD NO BRAKE LIGHT WILL WORK.SPRAY ELECTRICAL CLEANER IN BULB SOCKET BULB SOCKET COULD HAVE OXIDATION AND CORROSSION CAUSING POOR CONTACT.

IF YOU ARE USING RIGHT BULB AND REPLACED BULB SOCKET.YOU HAVE BROKE WIRE OPEN WIRE SOMEWHERE BEFORE OR NEAR LIGHT BULB SOCKET.

Check bulbs, fuses, then the brake light switch

Both of my brakelights have gone out on my 2005 jeep liberty. The problem is the brakelight socket. I bought replacement socket from the dealership for about $8 each. They are wireless and easy to replace. They sit on a circuit monted to the back of the tailight. The dealership will need your vin # as there are different types of sockets for the liberty.

check brake switch under brake pedal... if not working change it..

This for stop lamps, the tops wires are voltage and bottom wire is ground. Use a test light and check them both.

I dont have owners manuel and need to know what fuse is my brake lights ? All brakes lights are out . Thank you

Open the back gate of the jeep. There chould be 2 screws that hold in the light assembly. Remove the screws and pull out the assembly. Replace the bulbs and replave the housing.
