i would guess it may be the map sensor . had this problem befor ,or something is wrong with the new fuel pump could also be water in the gas or clogged fuel filter
change the idler sensor,,,easy to do takes five minutes,,follow instructions to a tee,,,i recommend a bottle of lucas fuel additive to every other tank of gas it does wonders and keeps enjectors clean
Sounds as if it is starving for air or fuel. check the air filter and replace fuel filter. if it still does it check the fuel pressure. if it is low replace the fuel pump
Since the fuel pump is in the gas tank, your pump picked up debris, and dirt on the bottom of the tank and ran it into your fuel filter.
Replace fuel filter, and check fuel pump fuse.
Running your vehicle with less than a 1/4 tank of gas is hard on the pump, because the fuel pump uses gas to cool it.
