Spark plus gap

I really needs checking against the spark plugs you have chosen? .045" is about right for most.

A Chiltons/Haynes repair manual that covers this vehicle make/model/year will have the information you seek. Plus a lot of other goodies. I'll give you the gap for the 3.3 V6 used in the 1984 thru 1995 (we use it for our 1998 Grand Caravan). okay per tune-up specs, that spark plug gap is, drum roll please, 0.050 inch/1.3mm. These specs are for the OEM spark plugs Champion RN14MC5. Best of luck accessing the 3 on the back side.

the gap can vary slightly depending on the plug make, type etc , follow this link for more details, it is a web site that sells auto parts and i'm not promoting them in any way it just happens to have the info you want

Get the original equipment type iridium spark plus and do not touch the gap...they are pre gapped and good to go in the box

Usually when you change the plugs that you also should change the distributor cap and rotor as well. When you changed the plugs with hopefully with the Alero specifications type manufacturer spark plugs that you have to also change the timing belt too is why your idling is low. All spark plugs have a gap in them so your car special plugs should too. You might have the wrong spark plugs with the wrong gap in them so you can ask autozone for the gap specs for your year, make and model plus you can buy the right spark plugs there too. The spark gap will change the timing of car depends on the gap.

there are spark plug wires in either top or side ,pull them off one at a time and change them with a spark plug socket mak sure you do them one at a time or you will get the firing out of wack thank you david southard
