I still don't know what engine is in this van It can be a 2.4 (4 cylinder ) , a 3.0 ( 6 cylinder ) , and a 3.3 ( different maker 6 cylinder ) the engine trans mission systems are made by different manufactures and without this information it's like telling me car is the blue one. you know the problems that happen to the blue ones. Sounds like the exhaust is stopped up

My air doesnt work but the heat does and i wanted to know how realiable my car could be as far as going 200 miles on a trip.....is the air/water pump a cause of the car over heating

I am a little confused as to what exactly you are asking for help with. You are saying that your Air Conditioner doesn't work, but your heater does? And the engine is over heating?

The engine overheating could be caused by low coolant in the radiator, a faulty thermostat, or worse case a bad water pump. I'd check the fluid in the radiator (when it's cool) first and top it off with 50/50 mix of the same color as already in there (green with green, orange with orange, etc.)

If it is the thermostat (the next cheapest repair) I would have a service shop tackle that. If you want to try yourself, you might want to invest in a repair manual for your car.

If it is not any of the other two problems, it may be a broken or worn water pump (most expensive of the 3). This is a repair for an experienced mechanic and not for the novice. I am not sure of your skill level, but if you're willing to give it a try, you should definitely get a repair manual like, chilton or hanes. They'll show you step-by-step, with illustrations, how to replace it.

Without seeing the vehicle, or knowing the exact make, model, year, engine size, etc. it is very difficult to figure out exactly what's wrong.

Hyundai elantra GT 2003 electrical problem (mirror, gauge, clock

Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

My interior light only works when set to on instead of coming on when a door is opened. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this problem before and how they fixed it. The bulb and fuse are both in...

try to retrack the wiring from that point there could be a short or there could be a problem with the door jam button that lets the light turn on when opening the door..should be located were the lock mechanism is..

I have a 2006 hyundai accent it is idling high and it seems to me that the tranny is slipping when you first start the car and take off, the rmps hit about 4000 before it finally kicks, my check engine...

No one could tell me what was wrong with my 2006 hyundai . Why the check engine light kept being on. Autozone, Napa, Advance auto, their FREE diagnostic machine could not figure the problem. It kept reading p0012 and they didn't know what exactly that meant so... I had to give in and take it to the hyundai dealership and pay$99 for a real diagnostic test. That's when I was told it was my oil control valve and the problem got fixed, no more headache!

ABS system failure

CODE 71 refers to: The Sensing Diagnostic Module.

The SDM contains a sensing device which converts vehicle velocity change to an electrical signal. The electrical signal generated is processed by the SDM and then compared to a value stored in memory. When the generated signal exceeds the stored value, the SDM will cause current to flow through the air bag assembly deploying the air bags.

I think based on the code and your mechanics ability to locate this easily found data you may want to get a second opinion this is not a item I would want you to try and rectify in the driveway.
