Some how your cable got broke.
Go under the car and find the cable or the latch it's not easy yet it could be,for me most of the time was a little hard to locate, just feel around.
it usually is a black plastic cable and a piece of wire sticking out pull on this wire and your hood will open.then you can get it fixed.

The cable to the hood is most likely broken. The hood can be opened from underneath by pulling the cable and replacement is not terribly difficult once the hood is open.

The cable has snapped. The easy bit is replacing it, the hard bit is getting the bonnet open to do so. Take it to a good local garage, or even to ford to open the hood, tell them you can't open the hood and say nothing. Let them open the hood for you, and close it slowly, just one click, so it it still latched, then change the cable.

2012 Nissan Murano hood won't open after pulling hood release to open it!

Normally, the cable snaps off from behind the cabin release lever. In that case you can pull the cable end with Locking Grips. If it has broken at the hood end, and they have a history of it, there are videos in the link to get in through the grill.

You can remove the inside panel from the inside of the durango. Remove the screws and pull off the panel, then manually unlatch it from the inside.

My 1998 Intrepid has a broken hood latch. When I pull on the inside latch, nothing happens. How can I open my hood, and fix this problem for the future ?

can you grab a piece of the cable from under dash?if so pull it and see if it will open.
if not you will have to try to get at latch from under car.
if you cant get at it find a reasonably priced body shop they are pros at getting stuff like that open
then get a new cable or pull handle or latch whichever it needs and replace it
