Curious what the output should be for alternator 2003 ford focus

I recently had to replace a battery that was only a year old, after my daughters battery light continually stayed on. The battery was tested and was bad and replaced with a new one. However, the battery light is once on again, the battery shows a good charge when I put a meter to it. I am wondering if and thinking I should troubleshoot the altenator as maybe something is comprimising the battery.

The battery light doesn't indicate a battery problem, it indicates an alternator charging problem, this can be the alternator or the wiring in the charging system, a good alternator should not put out less than 13.8 volts under a load, this can be headlights on and ac blower on high, engine held at 1500 rpm

SOUNDS LIKE AN ALTERNATOR PROBLEM THE SYSTEM IS NOT RECHARGING ITS SELF AS IT SHOULD AND THEREFORE IT IS DRAINING THE LIFE OUT OF YOUR BATTERY AND WILL EVENTUALLY KILL THE NEW BATTERY TOO.

I have a 2003 Ford Focus.

You have a draw, check all the lights in and out make sure they all off when the car turn off, keep an eye on the brake lights.

Last week I had an alternator changed on my ford focus, when I pull out of parking lot I had bigger problems than a battery light on when car was brought in. Turns out they accidently pushed axle in too...

i just replaced my alternator on my 2003 ford focus and the only way to get it out of the engine compartment was to put a jack between my drive shaft and power steering shaft to get the few millimeters of needed clearance to remove the old one and insert the new one. Answer is: They probably did the same thing and forced it too far apart, damaging the components.

Battery light comes on intermittantly while driving I had the battery tested and alternator everything was fine???Is it safe??

You have an intermitt issue. Test battery voltage when light is on. More than likely alternator (also check the belt that drives it) or poor battery connection (must be clean and tight).
