Two weeks ago, I tried to unlock my car with the factor OEM key dongle and it did not work. so I unlocked my car with the key and started the car, it would not start.
I checked the battery and there was corrosion. I cleaned it off , reconnected the battery, still nothing.
Then I noticed under the seat, there is some weird buzzing noise. There is a box which the noise is coming from. On the box, it says Honda
This thing seems to be draining the battery as well.
I also have an after market car starter. It tries to start the car too with no success.
It does not unlock or lock the doors either, but the trunk will unlock.
The OEM fob will not unlock or lock the doors or trunk.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Best bet is to get the codes read. You prabably have one in either the Security or the PCM module. One thing you havn't said is if you charged the battery up or had it tested.. The clicking from a module could be a sign of a weak battery
You really need to take this in. Their are too many computers in this car that can be the cause not to mention all the other components. Even if you accidently fixed this problem would you still feel confident drivng the car across country knowing you could end up stranded. You really need an acurate diagnosis to fix this.
How Do the men at the car dealships build self esteam in the children??Listen here young man he's a man your a man he's got a computer you got a computer why do you think you can do what a man just like you does?do you think you could have the same talents as that man or there is any chance you can learn the skills that man has learned where did you get this foolish idea from your mother??You got to give up take it to the man work 5 hrs to pay for that's 1 hr that's how you get stuff done in life.

I did some other testing...
I found out that the module under the seat is a security/keyless entry module under my driver's seat
It's a 2000 acura EL 1.6
There's a relay switch connected to the module for the car starter .
The only thing that seems to open is the trunk, ALL other doors are not unlocking. Also, the starter isn't kicking in. I can't turn the car on.
I tested the 12P and 18P connectors which connect to the security/keyless module. To test, you have to disconnect them.
When I jumper the trunk release to the battery, it opens the trunk When I try to jumper the doors to the battery, the doors do not unlock.
The OEM key fob is not unlocking the doors or trunk. The after market key dongle can unlock the trunk only, not the doors
Also, when I plug in the 12P connector into the security/keyless module, it starts buzzing.
Could it be possible that the relay or wiring is faulty and preventing the car from starting and doors from unlocking?
