Question about 1999 Isuzu Trooper
When I removed the socket the wire loom has an extra white wire. The new socket has no apparent fixture for the extra white wire. The only reason I can think of for the white wire is that I dont have reversing lightson my new caravan. When I had the socket fitted I asked the fitter to install reversing lights.
White is usually for earth wire. The fitter may have just used another white wire for reverse light. use a test light or multimeter to see if you have positive power to the extra white wire while in reverse.
