Car stalhs while driving, not just when you are a red light. Right in the middle of driving. The car jolts and then comes to a stop. But it will start up again right away.

Not sure about the code, but sounds like you are having an EGR problem and possibly a very dirty throttle body. Remove the TB, clean it and the area where it attches to the intake manifold. Check the operation of the EGR valve, shoul not be operating when engine is cold.
Sounds like blocked fuel line. Happens often when the car is ran on nearly empty tank. All the junk at bottom of tank gets sucked into system. Unblock fuel line. Red.
Sounds like a bad brake light switch. It can be found under the drives side of the dash up near the brake pedal lever. There should be power on the red wire all the time with the key on. There should be power on the blue wire when the pedal is depressed.
If there is no power on the red wire check he stop lamp fuse.
I have had this happen on saturns before and it has turned out to be a bad intake gasket. The gasket cracks allow extra air to get into the engine causing it to idle high. It also will normally have the check engine light come on indicating a cylinder misfire. 4 thumbs up is appreciated if this helps
If it were a TPS or throttle position sensor, then a service engine soon light would go on if the TPS was bad or out of specifications.
Check the transmission oil level and if that's ok, have the transmission flushed and filled (about $100 or so) if it hasn't been done regularly every 30,000 mi.
If that doesn't solve the problem, then the transmission should be rebuilt or replaced with another with low miles that won't give you that jolt on start ups from a complete stop while in drive.
Dear Sweetallday5,
Without seeing the car, and being able to hear and look at it underneath, anything we can do is guess.
Now, here is a really good guess.
Do not drive the can one more mile, not even to a repair shop.
Have it towed.
Otherwise, you stand the risk of having it quit on you in the middle of the street, or even wreck whilst you are driving it.
As far as being worth it to fix, only an honest mechanic can tell you that.
God bless your efforts.
I had the same issue that has evolved into the car starting and idling for 2-3 seconds then stalling. After doing this five times it won't turn over at all. All the dash lights are on but no turn over. After the car sits for appoximately 15-30 minutes, it starts and runs fine for 3-4 weeks then does it again. I was told this is due to the camshaft and crank position sensors needing replaced.
