2003 BMW 325xi won't start, dashboard and radio go on, battery is good (was replaced last week). Did notice the day before yesterday right before starting it did hesitate as if the battery was dying but like I said the battery was replaced, it's a brand new battery. Also when I couldn't start the car yesterday, Roadside Assitance tested it and it showed "good battery". The car has over 104,000 miles. What can be the problem?

Hi,
Before pulling out the old battery, you should write down the code of your radio so that when you install the new battery the radio will be asking for the operation code.
Replacing battery for that model should be less than 5 minutes to install new one, otherwise everything will be reset.
Hope that helps you out!
thanks for using Fixya!
if the battery was disconnected , the computer might need to be reprogrammed from a authorized mechanic ..This process take 8 to 16 hours... BMW changed my battery in my 545i & didn't program my computer. The transmission was shifting wrong & they said I needed a new transmission ... I took it to a different mechanic & found out the computer needed to be programed .
The clicking sound you hear is the solonoid on the starter trying to engage your starter into the ring gear,in my opinion i would say that the starter is jammed (needs replaced) but be sure to get the battery checked first as a low battery voltage will result in a poor crank effort aswell,Hope this helps!
It sounds like just a coincidence. I dont know what a GRR noise is supposed to mean. It either Cranks, No Crank, or it Cranks but does not Run. Just tow it to a qualified shop and find out what the problem is.
My 2003 325xi died on the highway a few weeks ago, and I thought it was the battery. It turned out to be the alternator, which was an expensive problem to repair. If your battery is new, it could be the alternator, or a problem with the electrical system. I find the BMWs to be too complicated electrically, which often leads to problems! I'd check your alternator...
