Plenty! Trouble with ignition, timing, fuel, filters, computer...

Before you change your fuel pump or fuel rail pressure or the sensors there are five things you will have to check first....first the inertia switch second if you have had the fuel filter change third the fuses fourth the sensors if they are bad or have been wet and the fifth the fuel pump pressure...

Removal & Installation

Print

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
   NOTE The fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle in the area of the rear suspension.
   
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Raise the vehicle.
   NOTE To remove the lines, press the quick-release tabs on the connectors.
   
4. Remove or disconnect the following:
   
   Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) vapor line Fuel filter lines Fuel filter and bracket assembly Fuel filter

To install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   
   Fuel filter Fuel filter and bracket assembly Fuel filter lines EVAP vapor line
   
2. Start the engine and check for leaks.

3. Raise the vehicle.
   NOTE To remove the lines, press the quick-release tabs on the connectors.
   
4. Remove the fuel filter bolt and remove it from the bracket.

To install:

1. Position the fuel filter into the bracket. Ensure the fuel flow direction is properly aligned.
2. Install and tighten the fuel pump bracket bolt.
3. Lubricate the fuel tube fittings with clean engine oil. Align the fuel tube fittings and press together until a click is heard and then pull on the fittings to make sure they are fully engaged.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks

Under the vehicle, behind driver's door area. Grey circular or tubular looking canister There are two clips for fuel line in and one for fuel line out, and one 7 or 8mm? screw securing the strap. Very easy to replace.

replace relay in engine compartment fuse box.

push the two little clips in either side of the coupling and it will slide back ,

Hello! Close to the gas tank... On the drivers side...In-line...Just before the fuel line takes a 90 deg. then drops down to the frame...A terrible location...Guru..............Saailer

If you are thinking in a replacement, remember the position the fuel filter into the bracket. Ensure the fuel flow direction is properly aligned:

1. Install and tighten the fuel pump bracket bolt.
2. Lubricate the fuel tube fittings with clean engine oil. Align the fuel tube fittings and press together until a click is heard and then pull on the fittings to make sure they are fully engaged.
3. Start the engine and check for leaks.
