had same prob.
Remedy, spray lots of crc into and onto terminals on sender unit, blow off with air hose, see what happens,moisture and build up of dirt creates a bad earth.

first disconnect battery,remove wiring loom from altenator the slacken V belt tensioner bolt so altenator swings free then undo the two bottom bolt or one long one depending on model.easy ,now the difference between sunday mechanic and a mechanic undo the two screws that hold the regulator/brush set housing and renew the brushes providing the commutator is servicable.

if you are quick and good with a wrench you can remove them and then plug it the spot temporarly but you will still make a bit of a mess, but if you really dont want to drain all the oil then yes you can

YOU carnt have a transmission oil leak from the front axle on a Falcon as they are Rear wheel drive but could be the hose going to the radiator over the front end leaking But the rear end of G/Box should be only the OIL SEAL.

might be a fuel problem when you turn ignition on you should hear a buzzing noise from rear thats the fuel pump, if you dont hear it your fuel pump isnt working.

If it is in the radiator it should as the fittings are the only problem you are likely to encounter. If you are wondering if the cooling capability is affected consider this . Hot tranny oil has to be cooled in the radiator water and this heat makes the radiaror work hard.Why don"t you consider a external cooler. They keep the oil cooler as they are are running in the outside air. Ie air temp 30 deg C oil temp 150c+ water temp 85degC oil temp 150c. You can see that the tranny oil looses more heat and it will not overload the radiator capability

Need to remove the turbocharger from truck to replace oil cooler. Am unable to get it out. It is a 2003 ford 250 superduty tubo diesel 6.0 litre

1 - Remove the turbocharger intake tube
2 - Disconnect the charge air cooler inlet pipe
3 - Remove the push pins on turbo cowl
4 - Disconnect the turbo VGT solenoid
5 - Remove the oil supply tube
6 - Using the special tool, remove the oil feed tube
7 - Remove clamp from the turbo down pipe
8 - Remove the clamp from the turbo inlet
9 - Loosen the exhaust inlet pipe-to-EGR cooler clamp
10 - Loosen the RH & LH exhaust inlet pipe-to-exhaust manifold nuts
11 - Remove the rear turbocharger mounting bolt
12 - Remove the front mounting bolts
13 - Position the turbocharger and remove the turbocharger drain tube
14 - Remove the turbocharger

If you cant do it with these instructions put down your wrench and take to a dealership for a professional to work on it

Auto trans fluid top up on AU falcon

get new plug 1st then use plenty CRC ,hammer and blunt chiesel or blunt centre punch to crack plug(turn around or undo)

You have a bad earth problem. Reccomend check sender unit in tank. Guage wire is Yellow with a green trace.
