It is probably just your light bulbs that need to be replaced.

Why does a red light flash next to the cruise control button, I have a 2002 Honda accord sedan. Can any body tell me why?

To [put it in layman terms, there is an electric motor that operates your gas pedal instead of your feet. There is something wrong with that mechanism, and the motor will no longer work. I would bet after 13 years on the road it will need a motor actuator, one of the rods connecting the cruise control motor to the throttle is rusted or jammed up. I would check it out mechanically for 5 mins before you get into more technical problems.

Basically : Flashing red light = broke
Green light = not broke

Check the starter motor. Many times they go on there own with no sign, and having someone crank it while using something to tap it often helps it turn over.

04 Honda Accord EX : The cruise control master switch clicks off immediately after it is pressed; the air bag light comes on and stays on for several days and then goes off all to start the cycle again;...

your problem is a part called a clock spring located underneath the steering wheel.best to have a shop replace it for you, special wheel puller is required to remove the steering wheel, this part carries wires for all controls and air bag that are control by the steer wheel buttons.

Clock does not light up

There is a buln in the back of the clock. If you remove the clock, it pulls right out, you can get a new (tiny!) bulb from the dealer. If you smack the clock it will probably come back on. These are very common.
