Replacing ECM 2001 Sable 3L duratec - 2001 Mercury Sable

SOURCE: where is a crank shaft sensor located in a 97

If you have the hood up, it is located on the left hand side. Farthest sensor to the left side of car. I have a diagram of location if you give me your email I will send you the diagram. [email protected]

sounds to me like a coil in the coil pack

Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery. Unplug the plug to the alternator. Remove the nut holding the other wire to the alternator. Remove the belt, make sure to record the belt routing. Remove the alternator mounting bolts.

I suspect #6 injector is bad. Swap with another cylinder and see if code spots change.

SOURCE: mercury sable 2001 duratec engine DOHC I get check engine light and diagnostic code PO401". Any suggestions?
