I bought a 2014 Honda Rancher 420 and the display wasn’t changing screen, so I decided to buy a new display, I pulled the all one out and connected the new one, everything seemed to work fine but the only thing is that it’s not reading the speedometer when I ride it.... am I missing something? Please help.

If all the connection and power supplies to instrument cluster are ok,I suspect that the speedometer or instrument cluster is faulty but before you replace it, make sure the gear inside the transmission that drives the VSS is in good.

I had the same problem with my ford focus and I changed the igniton coil on mine. seems to have fixed the problem. check all your spark plugs and wires also.

Possible speed sensor. I know the speed sensors are a problem with hondas. A new speed sensor is about $200 and can be easily replaced. It bolts to the top of the transmission on the firewall side. Do NOT buy an e-bay one. They are only about $30 but are junk

I went to a 225/70R15 8 ply tire and it made a big difference in ride and handling. I have been told by my tire guy that there is no 16 wheel avalable to fit a Sprinter and if there were the tire would not clear the wheel wells.

speed/ rpm malfunction is caused by your speed sensor on the trani (common problem) change it
