SOURCE: Honda Accord EX 94 vss has been replaced, but still nothing work
If all the connection and power supplies to instrument cluster are ok,I suspect that the speedometer or instrument cluster is faulty but before you replace it, make sure the gear inside the transmission that drives the VSS is in good.

I had the same problem with my ford focus and I changed the igniton coil on mine. seems to have fixed the problem. check all your spark plugs and wires also.

Possible speed sensor. I know the speed sensors are a problem with hondas. A new speed sensor is about $200 and can be easily replaced. It bolts to the top of the transmission on the firewall side. Do NOT buy an e-bay one. They are only about $30 but are junk

I went to a 225/70R15 8 ply tire and it made a big difference in ride and handling. I have been told by my tire guy that there is no 16 wheel avalable to fit a Sprinter and if there were the tire would not clear the wheel wells.

the only thing that is related is the d4/rough gear changing
speed/ rpm malfunction is caused by your speed sensor on the trani (common problem) change it
