My Peugot Partner Diesel van after going over a speed bump a bit too fast did not want to start took it to peugeot dealership they had the timing belt tensioner replaced and released the vehcle after 1 month then van could not get more than 2000rpm was told to get fuel pump overhauled and injectors checked wich i done then was told that some thing was wrong with engine so i had the engine totaly overhauled wich when done was found to have nothing wrong with it then i had it sent to a peugeot dealer 300km away after 2 months they are saying that they can only get 2000 rpm again this whole ordeal has taken me 8 months and cost +- R38000.00 Please Help
First - I am amazed at the runaround they have given you over this - and all the work they have charged you for.
This seems to be stuck in "limp mode" - which is an electronic basic running mode when it doesn't get all the info from the sensors (of which there are too many on peugeots !)
The most likely to start with is any damage to the exhaust sections - or any catylist fitted. Diesels use them to reduce particulates, and can become blocked - causing backpressure and all sorts of running problems.
The cheapest solution to you is to take it to an exhaust specialist - and ask them to check it.
A bad knock can shatter a ceramic catylist - virtually blocking the entire system.
I have a peugeot - but after numerous electronic faults - will never buy another.
