The 2005 Lexus LS 430 door actuator and rear trunk not opening with key fob. The car was purchase used and does not have a owners manual with a fuse diagram. where would I check for the fuse?

I have read this 6 times and still not sure what the issue is? I have a 2005 ES330. To open all the doors with the key fob, you have to double press the Unlock Button. Pressing the Unlock button once, only opens the driver door.

A trunk lid is secured into position using a latch and striker similar to those used for the hood and doors. The striker is a U-shaped piece of metal fixed to the trunk lid. The latch is a mechanism that hooks around striker and holds it tightly until the latch release lever is pulled. Latch release levers can be actuated electronically via a solenoid and switch or mechanically via a cable and handle. The most common failure item with electronic systems is the solenoid actuator which is typically integrated into the latch itself. For manual release systems the most common failure items is the cable which tends to snap internally, especially if there is a problem with the latch such as binding. Accessing the trunk area to replace the necessary parts can be tricky if the trunk won't open; in these cases I'd recommend trying to open the trunk with the key (if it has a lock cylinder) otherwise the back seats will need to be laid down or removed in order to get to gain access. use a wedge in door top grab handle with wire open, then remove rear seats .

Check out spring housing inside the door lock actuator. I had the same problem, some work anf JB weld will fix it,

I work for a doctor and a patient just had this same problem. She had a extra fob in her trunk so we opened the trunk with the key and got her other fob but I am wondering why the key does not fit the lock on the driverside

you have a valet lock feature. Check the glove box for a switch to deactivate. Otherwise check your owners manual for directions

See if there is a fuse for the keyless entry system / computer...

The outer cone is where the problem is, right where the fiber/foam of the cone material attaches to the outside metal frame. if you look closely, you will find the speaker is torn along this line, at least at some point(s). I used ge silicone 2 clear, make a bead all the way around, took about ten minutes, could not be better. Great fix. Also check lexus owners club for more detail.

The trunk should auto close when you manually lower the lid to the almost closed position, but it is NOT designed to open up fully when you hit the trunk release on the key fob, nor when you open the trunk manually using the touch sensitive button under the lip of the trunk.
