Have new mono rear shock and strut assembly for 1995 cutlass supreme. Can I install without a camber and then take it in for an all wheel alignment and camber adjustment after I replace both shocks? Thank you

Don't know if you got your answer properly or not, but you need NO rear camber Alignment on that vehicle. In fact it takes no alignment at all in the rear and the only thing adjustable in the front is TOE. So, YOU'RE GOOD!!!

On a 1994 Olds Cutlass Supreme installing the struts with no coils do you release the tension of the new piston before assembling it? When do you release the tension?

you should only release the tension on the new strut after you have it, and the new shock absorber installed. make sure to go slowly when you do to avoid possible injury and check that all your bolts/ fasteners are in place beforehand

Remove install rear strut assembly 1997 chrysler sebring JXi

The rear doesn't have struts just ordinary shock absorbers that you just unbolt and replace, no special skills needs and just a floor jack safety stands and hand tools top replace the shocks is all that is required..

This requires a strut spring compression tool to change the shock portion after strut assembly has been removed from the car.

Does a 94 olds cutlass supreme have rear shocks or struts?

it is considered a strut on the rear even though it doesn't have a coil spring wrapped around it. it bolts to the rear spindle and goes through the rear of the body. the car will need to be re-aligned if you replace them.

How much would it cost to get new struts on a 1995 olsmobile cutlass supreme?

well I cant tell you that, given your location there would be different pricing, but a good thing to do is call around and get prices from several places, and get prices for just the strut without installation. this will give you a better idea of what is acceptable. I usually charge 75.00 per set (front or rear), when they buy the parts. there is what is called a ready strut, and it is a complete assembly with strut/spring, and upper mount all ready to install. they range from about 180.00, to 285.00. hope this helps.

Right rear wheel tilting in

You can have a balance and alignement done. Most reasons for camber is just a need of adjustment or new rear struts

I need to know how to put rear struts on a 96 olds cutlass supreme, ( instructions)

I just had to do this to my cutlass supreme. It is fairly easy. First, you need to jack the car up in the rear (but dont forget to put wheel chocks in front of the front wheels to prevent any chance of rolling, and break all of the lug nuts loose while the car is still on the ground, and put jack stands under it to keep the car raised safely) and remove the rear wheels. Then look at where the strut mounts to the wheel, there are two bolts holding it on the wheel assembly; remove those (you may need to jack ut the suspension to remove the bolts). Now locate the two smaller bolts to each side of the the strut itself on the strut mount, holding it to the car (this is located at the very top of the wheel well) and remove them. Now u can compress the strut by hand and wiggle it free from the car. Once u have the old strut out, remove the large nut that is securing the strut to the mount. In some cases this is impossible to do due to the rust that has binded them together. If this happens, you will need to purchase a new strut mount for your new strut. AutoZone seems to be the cheepest place for parts. To install the new struts just do everything backwards. When the new struts are installed, the wheels may be slanted down. If this is the case, do not worry, they just need time to "relax" or be broken in. I hope everything goes smoothly and i wish you luck.

What is suspension on 1996 Cutlass Supreme w/3.1L? Struts all around or just in back with shocks in front? Have seen it referenced both ways.

Is this supposed to be a trick question? IF she's still running, I guarantee they're SHOT. Struts in front...and spring preload shocks in the rear. Check Sears for sales on replacement struts and then hit them up when they have a labor 1/2 off sale.
Good Luck
P.S. you DO NOT need an alignment they'll try to sell you!
