Put key in ignition switch.for 5 seconds.then gently try turn steering wheel either up or down might be hard to move.if it move little up or down then gently.with keys in ignition try to turn ignition switch.that should un lock it.
Check to make sure the car is all the way in park and foot is on the brake. Also, sometimes the steering wheel lock mechanism makes turning the key difficult. Wiggle the steering wheel while trying to turn the key.

All you need to do is turn your steering wheel to the left all the way till it stops then put your key in while still holding the steering wheel to the left, turn the key to the on position this should release your steering wheel!

Hi what is happening is that your turn off your car and left the wheels turned to one side and specially if your car is parke in a hill what you have to do is to force the steering wheel to the same direction of your wheels this will free up the ignition switch it is going to be hard let me tell you but it will work and this is why your shift don't work once you have the ignition switch free then your shift will work again

check your key see if its not damaged ok also press the break move the steering wheel slowly and move the key as you are moveing the steering wheel

Did you try jacking up the car at the front then wiggle the steering as you turn the key? Did you try a spare key? Spray inside the mechanism with WD40. Try putting the key in at different depths and turning.
The lock cylinder is a replace only item.
