Needing repair manual for 1998 lincoln mark viii lsc. cant find the air ride suspention compressor

  1. NOTE: Air compressor and compressor air drier assembly is located ahead of the front RH wheel. It may be convenient to service the solid state compressor relay and the four air line connections by disassembling and carefully bending back the forward section of the RH front fender apron (16054).
  2. Raise vehicle on hoist. Refer to Section 00-02 . Suspension must be in full rebound.
    1. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
    1. Remove RH front fender splash shield (16103).

My 1998 lincoln mark 8 rear is too high, wont come back down. why is the rear too high?

There should be a level switch in the rear of the car.The connector may have come unplugged,or filled with water.or maybe the switcch is bad.Or,it could be as simple as a disonnected or broken link arm at the switch.

1997lincolnviiiair ride system in front end is loosing air

This is a common problem for all Lincolns. Since the front rises but can't hold the air, it's a good sign that you don't have any compressor problems. You probably hear the compressor constantly clicking on to try to keep the front end inflated.
The most common cause is a leak in the air spring. It is often referred to an "air bag" which is basically a cartridge that fills and releases air based on the load. The most common repair is to replace the air spring (it's advisable to replace 2 at a time). There is another solution to replace the air spring(s) with a conventional aftermarket shock type spring setup. It's a matter of personal preference. You would still get a nice ride from a conventional shock absorber setup. Although more expensive, I've always preferred to go with the air spring replacement to keep the classic "Lincoln" ride intact.

I need location for air compresser for suspension on 1998 lincoln mark viii

the suspension compressor is located on the front corner, passenger side, under the air filter housing. It can be serviced and removed by taking off the passenger wheel and fender liner to get to it.

Where is the relay for the electric cooling fan on my 93 mark 8

the relay is in the VCRM which is a box-looking module located in front of the radiator on the driver side-remove the panel above the headlights, that's where it is. They can be found on ebay (used) for about $50-60 plus shipping, or check Lincoln forum for sale sections, it is a very specific piece of electronic equipment and it serves multiple duties like fuel injection and air conditioning compressor. You can use one out of a 94 or 95 Mark VIII also. I have a couple of spares. with these cars you need them.

Where is the air suspension compressor relay located on a 1998 lincoln Mark VIII?

the height sensors work as relays. it lets the computer know when an air spring needs air. if one air spring needs air, but all the others are level, the air spring needs replacing. it means it's leaking.

Its a air suspension comprssor for a 93 lincoln mark 8 were on the car is it located

The air suspension compressor is located on the passenger side of the car in front of the tire. To get to it, you must first lift the front tires off of the ground, remove the front passenger tire, and then remove the plastic skirt found behind the tire. After this is done it is easy to see the compressor which is found towards the front of the car, mounted just behind the skirt. I hope this helps
