SOURCE: 1997 Lincoln Towncar noise in dashboard

Is the noise coming from wiper area when you are driving on the highway? If it is the most likley solution is to replace the plastic peice at the bottom of the windshield that goes all the way across, on the outside between windshield and hood. when the wind hits it it makes noise.

SOURCE: How to remove driver side power window switches in

To remove the window switch console from the drivers side door, gently pry up the console, start at the front of the panel, because this is where the friction fastener is. After this is pryed up, slide the unit forward and remove. Then you can remove the switch package. This package can be disassembled and you can clean the contacts to restore the switch back to operation,.

Testimonial: "Thank you. Once I know that the switch plate is gently pried up tp remove, the rest was easy."

What power steering fluid to use in 1988 Lincoln Towncar?

That vintage you can use any standard transmission fluid or straight power steering fluid. The power steering system is not fussy, it just like to have fluid in it.

Is there a way to manually get my power seat to recline 2002 lincoln towncar

If the switch is bad, you can bypass it with a power and ground wire to the motor. If the motor is bad, you have to find it and disassemble it and turn it by hand. Usually the motor is at the back, bottom of the seat. Power seats are a pain in the rear. I pull the seats out to fix them, even this can be a major pain.

Tune up 1988 Lincoln Towncar

you need: spark plugs, spark plug wires, depending on if newer system that is all. if it is older you will also need rotor cap and rotor button. label the plug wires and change one plug and corosponding wire at a time after changing the (cap and button).make shure the plug wires go on the new cap in the same order that they came off.

stay away from the front drive continental, the seat is the least of the problems on those cars. they have bad air ride suspension systems, and weak transmissions DO NOT BUY IT buy a towncar instead
