The evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve is a duty control type, which controls the flow of purge air from the evaporative emission canister.
Inspection
1.
Look for loose connections, sharp bends or damage to the fuel vapor lines.
2.
Look for distortion, cracks or fuel leakage.
3.
After removing the EVAP canister, inspect for cracks or damage.

Although I recommend you buy a Haynes service manual for your Dodge, I think you will find the canister attached to the firewall or one of the fender wells.
Most of them look a lot like an overgrown spam can and it will have two connections on it.

It is the big black box on driver side front next to fender. It has to vacuum hoses going to it.

The canaster it self is located on the drivers side rear of the wheel near the bumper has three hoses connecting to it 1 goes to the rollover valve on the fuell tank 1 to the canister vent solenoid on the member over the spare tire and the other 1 to the canister purge solenoid located on the mid left side of the intake manifold .
