I've checked all fuses but don't know the location of the fuel pump relay

You should be able to google your exact vehicle and exact question and probably there will be a you tube video that shows you the location and how to access the relay!

Check fuse, relay, and google it to find out if it has a emergency fuel pump shut off switch ( collision switch)!

Check for a burned fusible link under the hood. If you have power at the fuel pump relay, you could have a bad ignition switch or bad oil pressure switch...accordianman

Where is fuel pump relay location 2003 BMW 745 SERIES LI

Hello everyone, please forgive me for the question but i honestly can't seem to find the answer to it. I want to change my fuel pump relay in my 2003 745Li. If I'm not mistaking, the fuel pump relay is located in the trunk next to the battery. I did notice the green cube looking thing (fuel pump relay) in the trunk but there were two of them. Do i need to purchase two fuel pump relays? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. ??

I drive a vw microbus 2.3i 2000 model, i have a problem of not getting power to the fuel pump. I checked the negative (brown) wire and its earthing good, but the positive (red) shows no sign of power when...

fuel pumps get their power when the ECM gets a report from the pressure regulator that more fuel is needed
on getting that report the ECM triggers the relay which then clicks and passes power to the pump
places to check
wiring and connections from the regulator , ECM and relay ground

Microbus 2.3i four speed fuel pump not getting power

The click you hear is probably the fuel pump relay. See if you can locate it by sound. Possibly, the power feed for the pump may not be good at the relay. Pull the relay out and check for a power signal at one of the terminals that the relay plugs into. It should be a hot- at-all-times signal, so the key does not need to be on. The power feed will come from a maxi fuse in the power distribution box, or from a fusible link just off the battery. If the power is good, try another relay. If still no pump, check the wire from the relay to the pump for a short-a broken line. If wire is good, check the ground for the fuel pump.
Go back to your checking for power at the pump: just possibly, you missed the signal with the key on, because with key on the pump is only supposed to turn on for about 2 seconds (to pressurize the lines) and then shut off until the engine is cranked or running. Try testing for power again at the tank with the key held in start-should be a steady signal then, as long as the engine is cranking over. If still nothing, back to the relay. If you now have a signal for the pump when cranking engine, it must be the fuel pump ground.

Hi Jered, I believe all high pressure fuel pumps have relays. The one in your vehicle will be under the hood. Regards John

Fuel pump relay location 1997 celica

The relay and fuse is located under the hood in the relay box. It will be labeled on the lid. If fuse is good, then test the relay. Pull it out and with a test light see if there is power. If there is then remember that one. Have some one turn the key on and find another power wire. There should be 2 powers. If there is only one power then there maybe a problem in the ignition switch. If there is 2 powers then you need to get to the top of the fuel tank and see if power is getting to the pump. The power at the pump will be there for only a few seconds once the key is turned on and then will drop off. Let us know how it goes.
