What is the question?
You probably have an electric one with a filter at the fuel tank plus a standard mechanical one mounted on the engine, or possibly an electric one mounted in the fuel tank.

Ignition timing is set by the computer as long as the distributor pickup point is within reason.
It could be running too lean. One of the TBI injectors may be sticking or not working (wiring or computer problem), or fuel pressure could be low.

Most electric pumps have a low hum to them. There are some that pulse, but I have never seen one just click. You may have a bad pump. Good Luck

If it's an electrical problem it wont start at all. If it starts, runs or a few, it's a fuel issue.
A new pump and lines, what about any inline fuel filters and the fuel filter in the carb fuel inlet?
