,Use caburator cleaner and spray down the throttle body and put the air duct back on if this start up and then dies your fuel pump is the issue, If you dont have spark and want to test for spark take the lead spark wire from the ignition coil let it hang 1/4 from body ground and have some one crank it if you dont have spark replace the sensor in the distributor.(optic sensor its hall effect). if you have spark and fuel. note the postion of the distributor and move it foward. if it wants to start and cant check for a slipped timing belt,by the way Plymoth made the conquest TSI

When i start the 1992 eagle talon tsi turbo FWD, the RPMs bounce from 750-500 a few times then does fine- then when i move any either in reverse or foreword, then start to slow down to a stop, the engine...

What you have is a faulty TPS-throttle position sensor, they are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. You can find it on the throttle body of your fuel injection system, just follow the air intake hose from the box toward the engine, and it will be right off the throttle body. It is usually connected with a couple of screws/bolts, and has a plug in.

Hi i have just bought a 07 1.4 tsi golf. The Turbo doesnt seem to be kicking in as it should is this a serious problem?

as it should or as you thought it would ?

TSI is a technology that combines supercharging AND turbocharging

The supercharging will give power at low revs and the turbo at higher revs.

this means that there isn't somewhere where the power "kicks in".

Its power from idling to the red line. full stop.

If you think it isn't right take it to a VW dealer to have it checked out.

However, faulty turbos or superchargers make a car undriveable, so maybe you are not receivinbg as much as you had hoped.

99 VW Crapio

what tha generally means is your o2 sensor is throwing a fault code. this is mostliely due to the fact that your TPS (throttle postion sensor) is not functioning properly. this is why there is also a rough idle to the vehicle. have the TPS replaced and the problem will be solved.

Hello, VW polos 1.0, 1.4. 1.6, suffer from carbon bulid up in the throttle bodys causing bad idling, esp the Bosch Mono-Motronic (Throttle Body Injection systems), a good clean with carb cleaner should repair the problem, also engine temp sensor replacement and idle speed control valve replacement can help idle problems.
