SOURCE: keyless entry remote

Check inside the remote case...there's instructions printed that tell you to hold the lock and unlock buttons for 7 seconds to reset the remote. I'm in the middle of replacing batteries myself. Let me know if it works.

SOURCE: Key doesn't work to unlock door locks & remote doesn't work fully

try getting some dry lubricant and applying it in the lock this usually works well. cold weather usually makes the problem worse.

SOURCE: 98 buick century, no trunk release and locked keys

I have a 97 centry and I locked the keys in the trunk and I had to remove the whole back seat. there are little black tabs on the bottom part that you have to pull out to remove the bottom section. once the bottom is off you will then see two nuts with washers (about 11mm) size undo those and then you will be able to lift the back rest up and take it off, there are some hooks on the top part of the back rest. you will then see some black coating and you will then have to decide if you want to destroy it to get into the back or not i was fortunate enough that i could just stick my hand back in there to retrieve the keys. once you get the keys just do every thing backwards to restore the back seat. good luck!

How can I open my trunk on a 98 Buick Century that has no trunk release button in the car and no key to the trunk without busting the lock or taken out the back seat

Do you have keyless entry ?
The remote keyless entry system performs the following functions:
• Locking the vehicle doors
• Unlocking the vehicle doors
• Opening the rear compartment lid

Rear Compartment Lid Release Circuit Description
The BCM receives a signal via Class II from the PCM indicating the position of the transaxle range switch. When you press the release button on the RKE transmitter, a signal is sent from the remote control door lock receiver through circuit 377 to the BCM. Then, the BCM sends a ground signal through circuit 253 to the rear compartment lid release relay. The relay receives power from the DOOR LOCKS fuse. When the relay receives the ground from the BCM, the relay's internal switch closes sending B+ (via circuit 56) to the rear compartment lid lock release actuator. A ground is always supplied to the actuator through circuit 350. When B+ is received at the actuator through circuit 56, the rear compartment lid releases.

You could jumper pins at the rear compartment lid release relay , this would open it .

How can i pop the trunk or get in the trunk of my buick century with no key?

the keyless remote does this, but if you bought it used, like most of us do, then you would have to buy one of these and code it to your car. I seen them on ebay for cheap, and to code it, hold down the lock button till it locks the doors, then its coded. just hit the trunk button and walahh....

IS THERE ANY TO GET THE TRUNK OPEN FROM THE COCKPIT OF THE CAR.KEYS AND REMOTE ARE LOCKED IN TRUNK

Remove back of back seat. You can get the keys then, or there should be a trunk lid release at the lock.

If you can't get into the car because it's locked, you'll need a Slim-Jim like device to get the door open.
