SOURCE: bad missing in motor on 2001vw beetle

If it is a 1.8 turbo the plugs are under the coil packs on top of the engine. A regular spark plug wrench will fit them. They are down in the block about six inches. They are easy to change. I changed them in about 30 min. The coil packs are held on by 2 torx screws.

Fan is not coming on in my 2001 VW Beetle. Checked fuses and all are ok. Where do I go from here?

Bad fans are common. You can either turn the AC on to see if that will trigger them, or jump the thermo switch at the bottom of the radiator.

There is also a fan control module located in the area under the battery, but diagnosing this is difficult.

2001 golf The bottom side door light for driver is not powering on when door is open, and no alert if door is open on drive?

Problem with door control module. Or somehting VW calls the comfort control. My sister-in-law and her friend both have 2000 and 20001 Beetle's and this happened to them. My father has a 2004 Golf and his is acting up. As they get worse the door lock will malfunction. and sometimes the trunk lock and light in trunk will go out. Along with the alarm . The switch costs around $250-$300 before labor. I think it's a dealer only item.

How to Check fan control module 2001 vw beetle? Power is getting to both 30A inputs but no output. In addition to both fans not working a/c clutch will not engage.

Sounds like your fan speed switch. I had the same problem. The fan speed switch is the main power switch to your AC. VW only sells the whole cluster wholesale around 150.00. Let me know if you need instruction on removing cluster.
