However, in general, when you reset a Pioneer device back to factory settings (the 'factory reset'), the first prompts received should be for
Language setting
Time setting
and so forth. So if you hard reset it, you should get a list of options to choose from, one of which would be either
'English'
or else the Japanese equivalent
'Eigo'.
So see if you can factory reset the device. This is, on Pioneer devices (generally speaking) done by holding down one button while powering the unit On... which button in this case? I am not sure (you have not stated which model of Carrozzeria device you have), but with the model # ***** could perhaps find out more specific information.
try and find a menu section of the system by changing the modes of operation. If you can get to the menu section there will be a language drop down section that you can highlight and save

If the display language is Japanese - what do you do to changeit to English? ... Same problem that others ...
I know you can that you can change this by simply hooking up a scan tool for specific year. There are language options accessible for situations like this. Here is a sample of what can be changed using VAG 5052 or equivalent scanners.
