My rear wiper stopped workign because some person tried to use it on snow by hand instead of letting it wipe with them motor. My mechanic said it needs a rear computer module and he cannot locate one. I cannot find one. Any ideas or am I not searching for the right part? Thanks.

smonahan, The rear wiper fuse is actually a circuit breaker. It will reset itself.
Your wiper arm has probably stripped were it attaches to the motor shaft. You can check by trying to move the wiper arm with your hand, if it moves back and forth, its stripped. A new wiper arm will be needed.
Try it and let me know.

probably a worn motor, they have a brass slider that rubs on a track on a gear in the motor this gives it the park position, usually it gives an earth return to the motor, to set it going the switch provides an earth, when you turn it off it runs until the slider detects the park position, with wear and water ingress this all goes unreliable

it's the EGR valve and can be fixed by anyone. It involves disconnecting the battery, remove electrical connection, and removing 2 screws and cleaning the surface area well and replacing it as well as the gasket. A new EGR valve runs around $120 and trust me you can fix this and save hundreds!

if you have a 98 or newer with the glass that flips up and door thar swings open the problem is in the wiring in the door hinge. there is a small rubber tube the wire runs through. pop the tube out of the door and the body and remove the tape holding the tube in place. you must do this as i missed it the first time around and didnt find it as the break was deep in the tube. i had 3 wires broken in mine and from the owners i know this seems to be a common problem.. good luck
SOURCE: location of front wiper motor relay and code
The rear wiper is on "off" position when you pull the "stick".
The relays are under the steering wheel. if you bend yourself down to the pedals, look up, ant there is a litle door, fixed with some nuts. remove them, pull the plastic just to look inside, and you'll see the relays. the relay that control the wiper system is the bigger one. is one relay for front and back. You could open it and you'll see two electromagnets which controls some contacts. you could try clean them with a soft and clean cloth(tissue). Also check the fuses. The fuses are located on the side panel trim from the driver's door. The fuses for front and back wiper sistem are separated. On the back of the panel from the fuses you'll see a diagram with what each fuse does.Good luck.
