How can I change the setting from miles to km for my afg 3.1?

On your steering wheel, you will see on your left some arrows (up, down, right direction), push the right arrow and change the settings from KM to Miles

Oil Life Monitor Resetting (KD, KE)
Description
The engine oil life monitor will indicate when to change the engine oil and the engine oil filter - usually between 5 000 km (3,000 miles) and 12 500 km (7,500 miles) since the last oil change. Under severe conditions, the CHANGE OIL message may be displayed before 5 000 km (3,000 miles). The vehicle must not be driven more than 12 500 km (7,500 miles) or 12 months without an oil change.
The engine oil life monitor will not detect dust in the oil. If the vehicle is driven in a dusty area, be sure to change the oil every 5 000 km (3,000 miles) or sooner if the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message is displayed.
Reset the oil life monitor when the oil has been changed.
Resetting Procedure
Press the INFORMATION SKIP button on the DIC control panel in order to display the OIL LIFE LEFT message.
Press and hold the RESET NO button until the display shows 100% ENGINE OIL LIFE.

I km = .62 miles.

10000 km = 6200 miles.

Check car manual to see if the display can indicate miles in lieu of KM's

This is so you can set it, just set or reset the time on the clock and it will stop flashing, same thing with the km,move from km to miles and back, if you want km then set to km but if you want miles then go to miles but you must select through it, good day.

GM OIL LIFE SYSTEM - RESETTING
The engine oil life monitor will indicate when to change the engine oil - usually between 5 000 km (3,000 miles) and 16 000 km (10,000 miles) since the last oil change. Under severe conditions, the "CHANGE OIL SOON" light may be displayed before 5 000 km (3,000 miles). The vehicle must not be driven more than 16 000 km (10,000 miles) or 12 months without an oil change.

Reset the oil life monitor when the oil has been changed, use the following procedure:

1. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position.
2. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
3. If the Change Oil Soon light flashes, the system is resetting.
4. Start the vehicle.
5. The oil life will change to 100%.
6. If the Change Oil Soon light comes back on, the system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

Scheduled Maintenance The service shown in this schedule up to 150,000 miles (250,000 km) should be performed after 150,000 miles (250,000 km) at the same intervals.

Check the brake calipers for freedom of movement and lubricate if required. • Inspect the exhaust system and shields. • Lubricate the door hinges, check links, hood and sunroof (if equipped). • Replace the engine air cleaner filter every 36 months or 30,000 mile (50,000 km), whichever occurs first. An Emission Control Service . (See footnote) • Inspect the vacuum lines/hoses every 24 months or 30,000 mile (50,000 km), whichever occurs first. An Emission Control Service . (See footnote) • Replace spark plugs. An Emission Control Service.

To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change
(approximately 7,500 miles [12,000 km] or six months) perform the
following:
1. Press and release the
SELECT/RESET button to display
“OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET =
NEW”.
2. Press and hold the
SELECT/RESET button for two
seconds and release. Oil life is set to
100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%”
is displayed.
Note: To change oil life 100% miles value from 7,500 miles (12,000 km)
or six months to another value, proceed to Step 3.
3. Once “OIL LIFE SET TO XXX%” is displayed, release and press the
SELECT/RESET button to change the oil life start value. Each release
and press will reduce the value by 10%.

Use the driver information center to change your settings. The switch that controls it is located on the dashboard just left of the steering column. If you have your owners manual, it gives a detailed description of how to change it.

Service Interval

When this feature is selected a service interval between 2,000 miles (3,200 km) and 6,000 miles (10 000 km) in 500 mile (800 km) increments may be selected. Pressing the STEP button when in this display will select distances between 2,000 miles (3,200 km) and 6,000 miles (10,000 km) in 500 mile (800 km) increments.

Reset Service Distance (Displays Only if Service Interval was Changed)

When this feature is selected the current accumulated service distance can be reset to the newly selected service interval. Pressing the STEP button when in this display will select "Yes" or "No."
