Cold air on passenger side warm air on drivers side

I have recharged (topped up) the AC on my 2001 Buick LeSabre, but I am still not getting cold air on the drivers side. The air on the passenger side is cold enough, that the AC should not need to be recharged anymore.
If the blend door is the problem, how do you get at it? Is the actuator/motor located on the passenger side to the left of the glove box? Will removing and replacing the actuator/motor solve the problem? What actually goes wrong with the actuator/motor? Is there another blend door actuator/motor on the drivers side?

Actuator motors either get a tear in the rubber or a hose is broken and not letting vacuum assist in its opening.
You can try moving the lever by hand and see if the air gets colder on the bad side.cold air on passenger side warm air on drivers sid - c976077.jpg

Driver side blowing warm air with ac on , passenger side cold...2007 Impala

The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. ... But a system that is 1/2 pound low will cause the passenger side vents to blow cool or cold air, and the drivers side to be less cool or even warm on this car. There is simply not enough freon capacity in the system to cool the air to the drivers side.

Why does my 2001 buick lesabre blow cold air on passenger side and hot air on drivers side

There should be ( 2 ) slide switches or buttons that control passenger/driver side climate control, one of the switches is not operating correctly and probably be faulty. I have a 1991 Buick Regal with the same problem, sometimes i can slide the faulty one real fast to the right and back to the left and it will work fine.

It sounds like your passenger air mix actuator is broken. I believe many LeSabre's have seperate driver/passenger air control.

My lesabre blows warm air on driver side cool air on passenger side

If you have dual climate control, you most likely have a low freon level. The evaporator can get cold enough for the passenger side (where the evaporator is located), but not cold enough to transfer cold air to the passenger side. Have it inspected for a leak and the freon level topped off.

2001 buick lesabre-ac problems

  • Assumed your AC unit is OK, but uneven temperature distribution. Try to throw the heater on an off severtime. A sticky valve on the heater would cause similar problem.
  • Observe the RPM while parking your car. While the AC cut in cut out (or turn on an off). If it cause no load on the engine. The freon may be low or the compressor is bad. In this case only the intake side of the evaporator is cooler than the other side.

2000 buick lesabre 3800 has warm air blowing out two driver side vents in A/C mode, but the two passenger side vents are blowing cold. any suggestions?

I had same problem on 2000 Lesabre blowing cold on passenger and warm on driver. I fixed it by adding more freon even though it had 28 pounds of preasure. Now it works great!
