Will the tiller handle assembly off a 1993 mercury 25 hp. fit on to a 1992 mercury 25 hp.

1. Locate the linkage that connects the door handle to the door latch mechanism. You may need to detach it from the door handle.
2. Look for any other retaining clips or screws that are holding the door handle assembly in place.
3. If the door handle assembly is still not coming out, you may need to remove the interior panel to access the back side of the door handle assembly.
4. Once you have access to the back side, inspect the door handle assembly for any additional screws or clips that are holding it in place.
5. Once you have removed all screws, clips, and linkage, the door handle assembly should be able to be pulled out of the door.

If you are still unable to remove the door handle assembly, it is recommended to refer to the vehicle's service manua

I HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 1993 SABLE IT HAPPENS WHEN MY BRAKE LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING.

no new ones can be purchased windows used are sold complete with the door assembly at most wrecking yards

1997 thru 2005 are same so i would say yer good to 1996 an probably as far bck as 1990 or 1992 not positive tho but for sure 1992 thru 1996.........

There are a couple of covered screws to the fron of the panel and a screw in the door handle cup pocket and about 10 spring clips around the perimeter. The hardest part is getting the cup around the pull handle off. It has a couple of ridges at the top and bottom so it has to be pried out. Almost always a ridge breaks but it will still hold together.
