That would be your drive belt, you shouldnt have to loosen any bolt. There should be a belt tensioner. it looks like a pulley. which is round, looks the the pulley that runs around the ac, power steering and all that, it should be about a 13mm, take it and push it barly, it should loosen up the belt for u to replace!!! any questions feel free to ask me!!

How to replace the power steering belt on a 4g13

ADJUSTMENT

Excessive belt tension will cause damage to the alternator and water pump pulley bearings, while, on the other hand, loose belt tension will produce slip and premature wear on the belt. Therefore, be sure to adjust the belt tension to the proper level.
To adjust the tension on a drive belt, loosen the adjusting bolt or fixing bolt locknut on the alternator, alternator bracket or tension pulley. Then move the alternator or turn the adjusting bolt to adjust belt tension. Once the desired value is reached, secure the bolt or locknut and recheck tension.

How is the best way to replace a serpentine belt on a 2005 kia sorento

First remove the engine plastic cover by removing the bolts that hold in. Then loosen the nuts at the front of the AC Belt and Power Steering Belt. Now use a Socket set and loosen these two belts by turning the tension adjustment bolt, Anti-Clockwise.

You have to remove the first two belts (AC & Power Steering) before reaching the Serpentine Belt.

Now loosen the nut on the front of the lowest pulley before loosening the serpentine belt.

To loosen the serpentine belt, you could either remove the metal skid plate at the bottom of the engine by turning the tension adjustment bolt, Anti-Clockwise or reach down from the top and loosen it with the socket set ( quick & easiest)

I am trying to change my 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage (w/ ac) alternator belt. I loosened the tensioner, took out the top - bottom and inside bolt of the ac compressor to take off the first belt and even took...

BEFORE ADJUSTING THE ALTERNATOR BELT DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE OR YOU MIGHT BLOW AN EXPENSIVE HIDDEN FUSE.
I would replace the steering pump belt at the same time you do the alternator belt (buy both).
To take off the alternator belt .
First , take off the negative battery cable so you do not blow an expensive fuse on the positive battery cable clamp(or a block fuse under the hood). Facing the back of the automobile , reach UNDER the alternator and loosen the bolt on the bottom right side, now loosen the bolt on the adjuster block on top, you can now turn the adjuster bolt and move the alternator to change the belt.
To take off the steering pump belt on the front of the motor, you need to loosen the nut on the back side of the pulley (right side of pump mount), the nut holds the adjuster pulley in place . With the adjuster pulley nut loose , you can use the adjuster bolt to move the pulley to adjust/take off the steering pump belt.

What do you loosen to remove serpentine belt from 1991 jeep wrangler with ac and power steering. thanks 4 cyl. 2.5

There is an idler pulley close to the power steering. Loosen the bolt that goes through the front of the idler pulley first. Then you will see the head of a bolt looking up at you. Turn the bolt clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen. The pulley is attached to the threaded bolt and it moves the pulley up or down as needed to adjust the belt tension. When the belt is replaced turn the bolt until the belt is tight. Remember to check the belt again after a few hundred miles. A new belt will stretch and loosen.

How do I go about changing the small belt that goes to the power steering pump on 1998 Toyota Camry with the 2.2 engine

You need to remove the AC/Alternator belt first. There is a pivot bolt on the alternator that needs to be loosened. It faces toward the driver's side under the alternator. Then on top there is a long bolt that needs to be loosened. As it loosens push the alternator down and you will get enough slack to remove the belt.

For the power steering belt, remove the front passenger-side wheel. You will see a black cover(called a fender apron)- remove it. I believe the bolts are 10mm. You can now see the power steering pump- look at the side of the pump that faces the firewall. You will see another long bolt (similar to the AC/Alternator adjustment bolt), loosen it some and push the pump to get slack in the belt.
