Yes on a Toyota 1az it usually do that after you've exceeded the major service time frame of every 50k so the timing chain slips to a better pos that is tdc instead of 10degreesbtdc so that causes flooding and preignition that with confuse the throttle and start to point on accelarator pedal position code you need a qualified mec to correct that

SOURCE: 2003 toyota sienna idle problem

After about 100K + miles the idle air control valve (IAC) begins to collect carbon deposits that interfere with the movement of the spring-loaded valve. You will not be able to clean this without removal and dissembly of the IAC body. Use an emory cloth or fine sandpaper to remove the build up around the valve. This should free it up to rotate without binding. This is a temporary fix, of course, and will either require cleaning again or replacement of the valve. Getting to the IAC requires removal of most of the intake upto, but not including, the intake manifold. Total time is approximately 3-4 hours, but worth it. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

SOURCE: idles speed adjustment to low in Toyota Camry 2004

Try cleaning the inside of the throttle body using a stiff brush and a can of air intake cleaner, remove all the carbon, make sure battery is disconnected while doing this, then reconnect and drive it for about 15 minutes this should restore the idle.

Hi
your description of the car problem indicate that you have a problem in throttle body

have you do any maintenance recently to car throttle body, or the problem come suddenly. if no.

if no maintenance done then i suggest to inspect engine intake
line ( from engine filter box to throttle body) for any looseness of damage, also you have to clean your throttle body by an experience tech. and perform idle learn procedure.

hopefully this information fix your problem.

Why is idle so low

Low idle can be caused by a dirty/contaminated throttle body, if the check engine light is not on, clean the inside of the throttle body with a can of intake air cleaner and a brush to remove the carbon deposits, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and drive it around for about 15 minuts.

My Toyota Camry has too low idle speed. At the moment to start my car get around 500 or less revolutions and I got a vibration and the sensation like the car will go off. How can I fix this?

Try cleaning the inside of the throttle body, first disconnect the battery then remove the intake hose, block the throttle plate open and clean the carbon out using a brush and a can of carbon removing spray.

1996 isuzu rodeo keeps reading #2 misfire runs good xcept when cold it hesitates most times or jus occasionally hesitates then the check engine light flashes and its guzzling gas i only got 50 miles on a...

A misfire alarm typically means the coil pack mounted above the sparkplug indicated in the misfire had gone defective.

To test it, swap the coil pack with another cylinder, and see if the misfire goes from #2 to the cylinder you put it on.

If the misfire continues to be on #2, then consider changing the sparkplugs.

I hope this helps.

What do clean the throtle body with

Hi, the throttle body can get carbon build up, resulting in a low idle, or possible check engine light. The carbon build up can be cleaned. The most effective way, is to actually remove the throttle body, and clean the throttle plate, and air flow ports, with a good spray choke cleaner. This is available at an auto parts store. Once reassembled, the low idle situation will be resolved. Good luck...Coop
