It sounds like the pressure sensor is defective and intermittent. Gas gauges will do the same when the resistive element is broken or the wiper is not contacting clean any more.
you start by cleaning the hot wire(located in the center of the sensor that the air passes) in the maf sensor as when these get a little dirt on them it can throw the reading out for the computer.spray the wire with carb/throttle cleaner and blow dry or let it sit to dry.then you can check the 02 sensor with a volt meter to see if it is working within the designed parameters when in closed loop.this code generally indicates a problem with the oxygen sensor(02).the readings should fluctuate above and below .456 volts and not stay on one side or the other as long as the car is not running rich or lean.
2003 zx2,rough idle when stoped and the car in drive, runs fine on open road, while idleing i opened the hood, when i loosened the oil fill cap i heard a pufffff, like a relief valve,it should not be building pressure should [email protected],please
Symptoms....car throws a check engine code for the EGR valve.... car has noticeably less power (especially on the highway)and fuel mileage is noticably worse. Cause....catalytic converter.
ok, if you havent added any oil to it, the only thing I can think of is you blew a head gasket, and you have radiator fluid mixed with your oil, hence the high oil pressure. Pull your dip stick and check your oil that way, to ensure proper oil levels and to check if you do or do not have coolant in the oil, another way to check is to see if you have oil in your coolant, once the seal on the gasket is broken oil and coolant dont have anything preventing them from mixing.
i had the same problem a few months ago. check your fuel filter. mine was on the car for some time and after replaceing it, car runs great. hope this helps. i would also check your air cleaner. if to dirty will run rich and with a dirty fuel filter your car will stall.
