SOURCE: 2000 chevy silverado 1500 4.3 eng

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

SOURCE: no power to fuel pump car was running fine just

Check for 12 volts power at the fuel pump harness. If no power is going to the pump, check the fuel pump relay. Also, check the fuel pump inertia switch. Ford usually has it on either inside left or right rear trunk fenders.

1992 gmc topkick 366 engine

Try this website. The fuse panel is in the dash near the steering wheel, probably at about knee height. Some versions have the cover held in place with small bolts. (possibly 8mm or 10mm).

C1500 changed fuel pump and sending unit run it 100 yards fuel pump fuse blows

Then the wiring to the pump is shorted inline or the connector to the pump has burned terminal which causes an over current issue and can blow the fuse. You did change the fuel pump connector correct?

Replaced fuel pump on 96 cutlass supreme and still wont turn over

Fuel pump power starts at the ECM/Batt fuse in the underwood fuse block. From there it goes the the fuel pump relay and then to the fuel pump. If you pull the fuel pump relay one pin should have power all the time. This is power from the ECM/BATT fuse. Two of the pins should be grounded. The last pin is power from the ECM. it hold have power for 3-5 seconds hen the key Is turned on and anytime the engine is cranking. Find out what is going on at the relay and then we'll have a better idea of what direction to proceed. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. My uncle has a 1991 S10,the fuel pump will run but truck will not start. you can pour fuel in and it runs. Also the truck was running fine untill a battery swap ,and it was hooked up wrong the ECM fuse...

you probably still blew the ECM. my uncle did the same in a full size chevy. it blew the fuse and the ECM. now here is the important part. he went to a salvage yard and they sold him what was suppose to be the right ECM. everything functioned but it would not start. he called me and i found that this was causing so much gas to be pumped that it was pouring in to the oil. he took it back and showed them the old one and then matched it up and all was well.

Engine won't start

are you sure lack of petrol was the reason the car stoped. try leaving the ignition on for a whlie and also turning the ignition on and off and leaving it for 10 second before turning of.this will get the fuel pump working, pumping fuel to the fual rail. and building up fuel pressure again.hope this helps

ECM BATT fuse keeps blowing

That fuse provides power for the fuel pump. Either your fuel pump is blowing the fuse or there is a shorted wire.
