One thing to check is under the passenger seat. Its the control module for the seats. Unplug the pigtail and look for a burn mark where the plug goes. If it is burnt, that means you need a replacement pigtail. The ground burned out. Its one thing to rule out that won’t cost anything.

SOURCE: 2008 Lincoln mkx, both seat heated and cool seat buttons come on and it goes out in 5 seconds. It will not stay on. What is the problem? Thank you

Either the switch/timer (all one part) is defective or the seat heater grids are shorted, I have seen both problems.

2013 Lincoln MKX is over heating when idling but runs cool when moving at say40mph. It started

Could be a faulty fan, could be a wiring issue, try testing a few things to find out.

2009 lincoln mkx cooling fan only one running

Hooking up a scan tool an checking for codes would be the first place to start . Then viewing a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in the cooling fans electrical circuit's . Then testing the electrical circuit with a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter is how to find the problem . More then likely the cooling fan that's not working is bad an needs to be replaced .

2010 Lincoln MKS Heated Seat on driver's side stopped working (Light in button turns off on its' own)

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

2008 lincoln navigator heated/cooled seats turn off in seconds both sides

Heated seats have a circuit breaker instead of a fuse. Both sides work off the same breaker. This is what I would replace first. It's on the cabin fuse panel. Look in your owners manual to find it.

Help anybody?
I have a 2010 Lincoln MKX with heated and cooled front seats. However, when I try to turn them on (85% of the time) they don't work. Primarily when it's cold the heated seats won't stay on... The light turns on for a fast count of 1-5 and then turns off. This has happened since the car was new and I've had it into the dealer 4 times to have it fixed (with no resolve). In their defense they suggest it's fixed each time because they test the heated seats when the vehicle is warm in the shop. Unfortunately, this is nearly the only time it stays on.
I would love to recommend a suggested fix to the dealer as they don't seem to be able to repair it... Any ideas???
