SOURCE: Locating automatic shut off switch on 2007 Jeep Patriot
double posted, and not ONCE stated a JOB
nor a simple clear, symptoms, why? why make it so hard for the blind to guess all that.
why not post the symptoms first.
and ask for help.
this works 10x better (a win-win for you and the blind)
we have not a clue as to whats up doc?
what's wrong,??????
etc.
are you doing service, and read the factory service manual
and got to a page that said (over and over it repeats)
depressurize the fuel system before servicing parts of the same.
is that the question, state the JOB or state symptoms and win.
or is car stalled, stalling or dead.?
or misfiring, or gee, i can list symptoms all day.
there is a autoshut off on all EFI cars made.!
you didnt say inertial shut off that is not found on this car. ever, and asked 1000s times and 1000s answers here the same.
mostly a thing on FORDS,(some mazda?)
if car is GAS is it, no engine stated, or country.
and fuel systems vary by ENGINE OPTIONS.
but all EFI engines cut fuel automatically via the ECU /PCM brain, ALL DO.! its a FACT,
its software logic, that helps prevent crash and burn. (and is a DOT/trans laws)
and is a relay the cuts, on all Gas jeeps, (petrol)
this relay is called ASD, the automatic shut down relay (see that auto word there?>)
and has up to 8 reasons to cut fuel. (and spark)
next time post symptoms first. the add a wild guess for parts that dont exist, why guess.
all 8 ways covered here.
http://jeepdied.com/ASD.html
is this hard?
(car wont start, wont stay running, engine stalls)
all have different causes and answers, and in many cases (all have unique tests, to find CAUSE)
if you had scanned it first, you''d be 10x closer to WHY. if it is ASD drop out,
the PCM always tells you why it forced a drop.
always.
its the not scanning first , is why you dont know.
in all cases, check fuses first.
EFI is electric, and has fuses. on all cars.
post symptoms, or get wrong answers as i see here.
the helpers try to guess, all that, empty facts.
and guess, where is my inertial switch.
see?
why cause that,?
