Plugs are always the last to suspect when there are misfires
It is most likely injector problem from
low fuel pressure ,
dirty injector tips , injector wiring and harness or
ECM problems

SOURCE: ENGINE MISFIRE AND SHAKING

check your wire harness on the top of the engine. Volvo must have bought harnesses from Mercedes. The insulation just cracks and disintegrates, then the wires short. Not good for an ignition system.Once they short It can fry the circuit for that cylinder in the computer. Does not set a code other than Misfire.

I have 2004 chevy colorado, i changed the fuel filter and plugs and the engine is still running rough at about 400rpm and i think should be at around 6-7 hundred rpm, what can i do to fix this?

It could be th Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid located on top of the engine check it out if oil in the plug then its bad and also on the part there is 3 sets of screens if any missing then the part is bad and screens will be in your oil pan so change your oil asap

Miss fire but no lights on changed the plugs and fuel filter also changed dist cap also checked for a good spark

A lean fuel mixture will not yield poor fuel economy but a misfiring cylinder will. You have already replaced the coils and the plug leads to the cylinders in question so they should not be an issue.Do the codes still indicate a misfire on cyls. 2 & 3? If so have you looked at the plugs? Has the oil leak around the plugs been stopped? Are they oil fouled? Could the pooling oil around the plugs be shorting the spark discharge to ground?or Valve Cover gasket is leaking. That's why you see some motor oil in the sparkplug sleeve (tube). removed the spark plug and My suggestion is to remove the sparkplug in cylinder 2 & 3 or whichever ones that the scanner indicated as "misfiring". Take a look at the sparkplugs and see if there's any oil around it. If you see any traces of oil, that means your gasket is worned out and need to replace.Good Luck in getting your problem fixed. Oil around spark plug and car mis fires

The oil around the plug may be a sign that the valve-cover needs a new gasket. Oil on the plugs can cause a misfire but it is important that you check everything over. The misfire could be due to defective wires, boots, coils, spark-plug/s, injector/s, and so much more. Take a look at the cars maintenance history, Maybe it is over due for a complete tune-up or oil change. The car is 11years old, how many miles are on it? How was it running before this?

When idling my 2003 Acura TL the engine seems to want to almost die, also when i got on the freeway it seem to pull hard and **** like it was having trouble shifting into 5th gear. It also seems to run...

You may need to change the coil pack(s) or modular. The modular is what the coil pack(s) mount to. I'm not familiar with that engine so you may have a 3 piece coil pack, or a 1 piece. (If it doesn't have a distributor). You may first try replacing the coil wire. There is a good chance that is loose, or bad. It could also be the coil itself. Try the coil wire and if it still acts up, then try the others. Also, when you changed the plugs, did you put new plug wires? When I do a tune up on my vehicles, I change the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, (coil pack, modular), whichever is equipped, oil, oil filter, tranny fluid and filter with gasket, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket oil filter, and fuel filter. Try changing the fuel filter as well, as plugged or dirty fuel filters can cause stall outs. I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing fixya.com for answers.
