How to replace a front interior door handle on a 1999 yukon

There's two screws by the handle, pull those out and you'll see how it all connects on the inside. I was able to remove my broken one, and drill a hole into the plastic where it broke and reuse it - it's lasted over 4 years now.

I have the same problem on a Toyota Tercel 1997. I am trying to remove the door panel with the door closed (I can not open the door because the door knob is stuck in the lock position). I think I will have to cut through the panel. Have you found something ? My e-mail is [email protected]

Do u mean the door latch, which u pull to open the door, or the plastic molded handle u grab to shut the door? If it's the latch, there are two small round plugs in the plastic area of the door lock and locking switch. Use a small flat end screwdriver to pry them out , exposing two philips head screws. you will need a t-20 or t-15 torx bit driver to remove 2 screws holding the handle this is all that holds them on, on once you have a replacement handle it is easier to remove 2 lower screws on the door panel and unsnap the door panel to loosen it this will allow space making it easier to reinstall new handle just slide each end into the slot and reinsert 2 screws to not fully tighten until door panel is snapped back in. the panel is held on with clips and can be released using plastic pry tool around door panel edges.

You'll need a torx bit for the bottom screws. The door handle comes apart (using a screw driver) to expose 2 phillips screws holding the door handle to the door, after you get those out, pop the rest of the push clips out by firmly pulling on the door panel near the bottom, There may also be another screw on the TOP Front (near the mirror) very small phillips. Once you have the door panel loose, lift UP on the door panel to remove. Once you get that panel off, you'll have to remove all the other screws to get the window regulator out (lots of 10mm bolts). Unclip / unconnect the connections etc..
