First remove radiator fan shrould. This will give you access to the fan.Remove fan and fan belts.Remove bolt on harmonic balancer. You will need to rent a balancer remover and installer kit. Most big auto parts chains will rent these kits to you.Next remove four bolts holding pulley to balancer.Next attach balancer puller to balancer with long bolts from kit.Using a 1\2 drive breaker bar, remove balancer from engine. After removing balancer replace front seal.Lubricate hub on new balancer with engine oil. Then use installation tool from kit to install balancer.Never try to beat balancer on with hammer, engine damage could occur. Then work in reverse to replace remaining parts.Hope this will help you.

How do I replace a 1987ford bronco 302 timing chain cover

You have to remove the water pump and the harmonic balancer. Use the correct puller do not try to hammer or pry it off, if you do it will separate sometimes and ruin it. Then just remove the bolts to the cover. It may help to take out the 2 bolts to the front of the oil pan.

Need to replace harmonic balancer on 1989 ford bronco II but balancer has no ntiming marks on it

You could scribe marks from your old balancer once it is off the engine. But I would not worry about it anyway because the balancer is keyed and cant be put on wrong.

How do I replace a turn signal switch on a 1989 Full Size Bronco, not a tilt wheel.

You will need to remove the steering wheel...using a steering wheel puller, or a harmonic balancer puller...the turn signal switch is under the steering wheel...unscrew hold downs, trace wire from turn signal switch to under the dash behind the brake pedal, disconnect the connector wire...re-install pulling wire up from floor to inside the steering wheel...sometimes tying the wire to another object, then pull through...hope this helps.

Describe your ford bronco help 93 change starter, sylinoid, and battery and starter still just clicks

Turn the engine manuelly by puting a socket and ratchet at the bolt on the harmonic balancer pully, if the crank turns well and good and if it dosent then the engine is seased.

Hard to start and runs rough. How do I set the timing on an 85 bronco 2?

You need a timing light, hook it up to #1 cylinder plug wire and start the engine-let it warm up, and loosen the hold down bolt under the distributor (1/2")-air the strobe light at the harmonic balancer and gently rotate the loose distributor one direction or the other to the setting indicated on the label on the bottom side of the hood that indicates the specifications for your engine-it should say something like "6 degrees BTDC (before top dead center), @750 RPM". In addition, it may tell you to either disconnect a vacuum hose (and plug it) from the distributor advance canister, attached to the distributor, or to unplug a 'spout' connector that does basically te same thing-provides timing adjustment beyond what the distributor static timing provides.

Ford 1985 302 harmonic balancer is cracked is this an indication of bigger problems with the engine

Not usually. However, it needs to be replaced right away because it stands a good chance of pieces breaking off and creating an unbalace condition in the engine. This condition will cause havoc inside your engine and can lead to bent or broken crankshafts and downhill from there. Hope this helps.
