There may be a short or broken wire. Check main fuses as well they should be labeled either
Fuse box down by your feet or the one under hood . They should all have diagrams on inside of fuse box covers

you need a scan tool pull code and then you can clear trouble codes. if cause of code not fixed check engine light will come back on.

yes it should it works with the brakes transmission and so on you need to check the codes the suspension and traction control are not working properly

Check for a bad fuse. I have also seen in the jeeps that the connectors in the back get corroded and you need new connectors sometime pig tails.

Take the car somewhere to to get the engine codes (autozone does it free)
