NHTSA Vehicle Safety Recalls

  • Recall Number
    16V345000
    Recall Date
    05/24/2016
    Component
    SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FLUID
    Summary
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 F-150 vehicles manufactured August 1, 2013, to August 31, 2014 equipped with 3.5L engines. The master cylinder rear cup seal may roll, resulting in brake fluid leakage from the primary reservoir into the brake booster.
    Consequence
Loss of brake fluid from the primary reservoir results in a complete loss of front brake function, increasing the risk of a crash.
    What Owners Should Do
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake master cylinder and, if necessary, the brake booster, free of charge. The recall began on October 28, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 16S24.

SOURCE: Ford Focus ST 2l 2013 Echo Boost. Diagnostic scan: Manifold sensors X2. Both replaced. Replaced spark plugs X4 as well. Still Misfire on 2500revs

If there is still a misfire, the problem might be further back in the ignition system. As the problem seems to happen when the engIne is working harder it could be a faulty plug lead or coil pack.

2013 f150 just had transmission recall upgrade done 2weeks ago been having problems since now there saying it's the speed sensor is bad could this be because of the reboot or just a fluke

Could be either. The upgrade may not be compatible with the old speed sensor, but it should have turned up before they gave the truck back to you. I would take it back and if they will not fix it , send a letter to the company.

2013 ford f150 with a eco boost need the two wires to hook up a gforce chip

YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET INVOLVED
WITH INSTALLING THAT ITEM

Forget it

You will mess up your fuel trim & more

Ford spends Billions to give you a product,
don't ruin it

We get many people come here with that & I ask
WHY no instructions, even the chinese try to give
instructions

That chip has no idea where you live, what elevation your at
or how you use the vehicle

The MAF Sensor & PCM are programmed for your vehicle
delivery area & state or province Emissions Standards
