Change distributor, rotor, plugs and wires. Make sure you have pushed coil wire on tight on both ends. Also when did you last change the air filter? Motor needs enough air to mix with gas in cylinders to fire.

It sounds like you may have burned out your fusable link. It's a special wire that comes off the starter solennoid and is designed to burn off in the event of an overload. DO NOT REPLACE IT WITH REGULAR WIRE, THIS IS A LEADING CAUSE OF CAR FIRES.
You will want to check for what caused the overload condition that caused the fusable link to burn out in the first place.

Will start but wont run

get a spark tester ,this is only a basic test .check the coil for a spark if found remove the lead from the spark plug. plug in the tester. turn the engine over to test for a spark each time. if no spark found check and clean the contacts in your distributor cap and rotor arm then refit test for a spark. at the lead to the spark plug .if found now remove your plugs one at a time .smell for fuel .if found change the plugs.

2001 300m wont start changed fuel pump turns over but will not start any ideas

is there a spark at the leads? check leads, coil, crank or cam position sensors, e.c.m in that order. if there is a spark and the new pump's fitted correctly, check for fuel blockages along fuel line, if injectors are opening, air flow sensor.
or alternatively have a reliable technician put it on a diagnising machine. i'm sure you'll agree that it would save alot of time and effort

I was running this car in my driveway, when it died all of a sudden and will not restart. I find that there is no spark, and the fuel-pump is constantly running when the key is on. Help!

Hello Ford Cobra.
Strange the fuel pump stays running as soon as the key is on.
This is leading me towards a possible relay problem that is also affecting the power relay that powers up the injection system.
Is there power to the ignition coil momentarily as the key is turned on?
If so the power relay is working and will lead to the next diagnosis step.
Keep me informed.

MY car wont turm over. it is not the babtery. is

Check the leads to the alternator and see if they are loose or unconnected. The starter malfunctioning would not make the engine die, just not turn over. Slugish turning would indicate a low batery but not malfunctioning starter. If the engine will run but not for long check the fuel pump or air leaks in the fuel system. Check all leads to the distributor, coil and sparkplugs, If the distributor cap is cracked or the distributor is loose it will create these problems.

It started stalling out. I changed the fuel

all a car needs to run are 3 things

Make sure it getting fuel in the engine

Make sure its getting spark

make sure its getting air

that's it it may be a simple not getting fuel check your fuel pump than check your coils or plugs.
