SOURCE: Location of EGR Valve

Found the info!!

This Dodge EGR valve is a certain kind of device that is mounted right on your intake manifold which controls the amount of exhaust gasses back into your engine.
On a 2005 Dakota with 4.7 liter engine (non-HO), the EGR valve is located near the intake manifold on the driver's side right up against the firewall. It's hard to spot as it sits lower than the intake manifold. To change it, remove the electrical connector. There's a red tab that needs to be pushed to one side and then you have to squeeze down on a tab to get it free. Using a 13 mm socket, remove the bolt that you can see. I had to use a 3 inch wobble extention and then a 8 inch extension with a deep well socket to reach it with my 3/8 inch ratchet. There's a second bolt that you can't see between the EGR valve and the firewall. With a little trial and error and a lot more luck, you can reach the hidden bolt with the 3 inch wobble extension and a 13 mm deep well socket. Attach the ratchet after the socket is on and remove. This one isn't easy and if there's any Dodge engineers reading this one, a couple of extra inches of clearance between the valve and the firewall wouldn't have killed you no matter what the cost accountants said. With both bolts removed, you should be able to pull out the metal pipe that connects the manifold to the EGR valve out of the manifold (Pull to the right) and then you can lift the valve out. For assembly, the metal pipe connecting the intake manifold the EGR valve has to be removed and reinstalled on the new valve. It's held on with 2 5/16th" bolts. You should put the rear bolt on tight, but leave the front bold loose for the reinstall as some adjustment is necessary to get it put back together and the rear is a pain to tighten when installed. Line up the bolts that attach the valve and get the rear 13 mm bolt (The one you couldn't see on disassembly) started. Do not start the other 13 mm bolt as you'll need to pivot the valve and pipe to the left in order to reinsert the pipe into the intake manifold. Once the pipe is in the intake manifold. Start the other 13 mm bolt and tighten both 13 mm bolts and then the 5/16" bolts holding the pipe onto the valve. Reinstall the electrical connection. Please don't forget to rate!!!!

SOURCE: location of spark plugs in 2005 dodge dakota

To change the sparks on a 2005 4.7L Dodge Dakota you will need the following:

  • Spark plug socket
  • Ratchet
  • Torque wrench
  • Extension
  • Flat-tip screwdriver
  • Make sure the truck is cold!!!

Note you will have to remove the air intake located at the top of the engine, and will have to move some of the coolant lines out of the way.

At the top of the engine there are 4 sparks on each side. The coils are held in place with a 10mm bolt. Undo the 10mm bolt and unclip the coil. Next pull out the coil.

Insert the socket, with extension into the spark plug hole.

Remove spark plug.

Check the gap on new spark plug, it should match stock.

tighten to approximately 25ft.lbs. (check spark-plug packaging for exact torque requirements).

repeat this process with all other sparks.

be sure that no dirt gets into the spark plug holes.

SOURCE: location of pcm on 2005 pacifica?

I have a 2004 Pacifica and mine is on the drivers side front, underneath between the bumper and the wheel splash guard. You will need to remove the splash guard ti access the PCM. Not very hard at all. Replacement time for a handy DIYer: about 1/2 hour. Good luck!!

Where's the PCM for a 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup

It's not bad 99,9999% of the time
we check is inputs first.
all computers compute wrong if inputs are wrong. called GIGO
garbage in = garage out, (oldest story on computers on earth)
then out put actuators bad, like injectors and lots more.
why now scan it first, see it has stored or live DTC errors.
USA car uses OBD2 scan tools here.
PCM has 8 pages of schematics just for it.
PCM uses CAN_BUS pin 6 and 14 needs 2008 or newer scan tools to be sure the tool supports CAN_BUS. or tool is dead.

2005 Dodge Dakota transmission control module location

The transmission control module is intergrated into the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). When the PCM is replaced, it must be programmed by a dealership with VIN, Mileage and the proper software determined by VIN number and vehicle build data. The next process required involves performing a ":Quick Learn" procedure. This lsts the computer know clutch volumes etc , for proper operation. The days of swapping parts is over.

Reset the PCM/ECM ! Pull both battery cables an get yourself a resistor from radio shack place between both battery cables for ten minutes. Sorry I don't remember the size resistor , I'm looking through my info to see if I can find I think it's 1 watt 100 ohm resistor . This will drain the capacitors in the computer .They say in one of these TST training videos . ECM Inputs and Outputs Diagnosis

If I replaced the PCM on the 2005 dodge ram truck would I have to reprogram the keys to make the truck run?

If you key has a chip in it, you will probably have to get your ECM reprogrammed with the proper VIN, since it no longer matches the original VIN on your Vehicle. I don't think the dealer would program your keys to a mismatched VIN number, so more than likely you will need your ECM reprogrammed with the proper VIN. This will need to be taken to the Dodge Dealership to be fixed.

Troubleshooting code PO753 ECM or PCM.

It is more likely the solenoid, the PCM is very seldom the problem, about 3% of the time to be exact.
